NEWS Glastonbury Abbey Photo Comp Winner
Glastonbury Abbey's Photographic Competition attracted entries from home and abroad and the judges
had some difficult decisions to make, says Deputy Custodian Francis Thyer. First prize of £100 and a
Certificate was awarded to Sandra Howe for picture entitled "Wild Flowers" (pictured). Second prize,
for "Dancing on the Green", went to Sandra Howe - first and second to the same person, they were that good.
Third prize was won by Dave Cox for "Common Buzzard" and a Highly Commended Certificate went to
Lesley Delamont for "100 Years Celebrated". Prize Giving will be at 3.00pm on Friday 5th October
in the Glastonbury Abbey Museum after which these pictures and many of the other entries will be on display
until 19th October.www.glastonburyabbey.com |
