It may be the middle of August, but someone didn’t get the Vacation Memo – it’s been a big week for news. Particularly big news is a new research study looking at the relationship between Congress and overseas Americans. In other news on FATCA, UK Finance have commented on the issue in light of a warning that 40,000 bank accounts in France could be closed due to US regulations. Labour MP Preet Kaur Gill has also written to PM Boris Johnson asking him to outline his position on the issue – all this is against the backdrop of growing US-UK ties in the run up to Brexit.
It’s not all politics and policy though – check out a new educational game that allows you to Fly Like Ike over Washington DC, a magical Shakespearian experience in Oxford and York, A Right Royale Tea Experience and news from the Edinburgh Fringe. Enjoy your newsletter!
