American Families in UK Applaud Key Workers During Pandemic

Families on the USAF Air Bases in Britain have been spreading positivity and saying thank you to NHS medics, the 48th Medical Group and Key Workers during the Coronavirus pandemic

Published on April 29, 2020

During the Coronavirus pandemic, families across the country have been applauding, thanking and celebrating the work of the NHS, key workers in the emergency services and everyone who is dedicating their time and putting themselves at risk to help others during this time of national uncertainty. One community which is bringing color and noise to the tributes are the American families living in Liberty Village at the US Air Force Base at RAF Lakenheath!

In recent weeks, families at the base have been spreading posivity with posters in their windows and taking part in the weekly Thursday evening thank you to NHS and Medical professionals. Posters and placards have said thank you to both the NHS and the 48th Medical Group, who themselves have been working with NHS Trusts across the UK in recent years.

We thought we'd put together some of the heart warming pictures (below) for this news article to say thank you to to all those key workers who are protecting and supporting us all during these difficult times, and to say a special thank you to the American families at Liberty Village for spreading positivity and warmth when the country most needs it.
