Anthony Scaramucci in London, Guests on Unspun with Matt Forde
The former White House Director of Communications is visiting London as a guest on this Sunday's Show
Published on March 13, 2018

The last episode in this series of Unspun with Matt Forde will be one to watch, as former White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci sits down with Matt to discuss, well - name your subject! In the time since Scaramucci lost his role in Trump's White House, on July 31st 2017, there have been plenty of topics to discuss in US and world politics.

Nicknamed 'The Mooch', Scaramucci held the role of White House Director of Communications officially for less than a week, the record for the shortest tenure in that particular role in White House history. Known for his straight talking style, and a self confessed user of 'colorful language', Scaramucci's short time working for the Trump administration coincided with two resignations - those of former Press Secretary Sean Spicer, and former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. Although his time in public office may not have lasted long, it was a week of huge media interest, and arguably a week in which the Trump administration underwent a seismic shift, particularly in terms of personnel.

Unspun with Matt Forde
Matt Forde has a knack for taking on US/UK political issues

Although we can only guess at what topics might emerge during Matt's interview with The Mooch, it'll be a fascinating watch, particularly in light of today's announcement that Rex Tillerson has lost his position as Secretary of State.

When we previewed this series of Unspun with Matt Forde earlier in the year (Read Here), Matt noted that his dream interview would be with Donald Trump himself. Although perhaps not 'the' man, in the aftermath of what turned out to be a bizarre week in US politics, Scaramucci could potentially offer a real insight into Trump's administration, and the wider implications for American politics right now. Matt's style of informative and entertaining satire will also be a good fit for the Mooch, so it could offer a great chance to delve deeper into American politics.

Anthony Scaramucci will appear on Unspun with Matt Forde on the UK Channel 'DAVE' on Sunday March 18 at 10pm. Also check out the extended Unspun XL with Matt Forde also on DAVE, on Wednesday March 21 at 11pm. DAVE can be viewed on Freeview Channel 12, Freesat Channel 157, Sky Channel 111, Virgin Channel 127 - find out more online at DAVE's website: dave.uktv.co.uk.
