Bright!Tax Name Sixth Global Scholar
US Expat Tax firm Bright!Tax announce Brandon Fathy as their latest Global Scholar.
American Archaeology student Brandon Fathy has been named the sixth Bright!Tax Global Scholar, an award which will allow him to study at the University of Leicester in 2019. The Scholarship was founded in 2016 by the owner of Bright!Tax, Greg Dewald, with the aim of supporting young Americans who wish to study abroad.
Thanks to the Scholarship, Brandon will return to the UK in January 2019 to begin a PHD in Archaeology at the University of Leicester, having already previously been an undergraduate at the University. In fact, Brandon was a member of the team which excavated the now famous car park under which the skeleton of England's King Richard III was discovered.
Discussing the Scholarship, Brandon commented "As a US citizen who wants to make a big positive impact, I'm enormously grateful to receive a Bright!Tax Global Scholarship Award. Studying at a foreign university is a financial challenge, and I've worked two jobs as a high school teacher and tutor to save for my degree. The contribution this scholarship makes to my academic progression is greatly appreciated."
Greg Dewald, Bright!Tax founder and CEO, said: "We established the Global Scholar Award to help a new generation of young Americans have the same experience to study overseas that I had. Brandon is an exceptional young American embarking on an exciting adventure, and I'm sure he'll achieve every success."
We at The American magazine wish Brandon all the best as he embarks on his PHD in Leicester in 2019!
