An American actor-writer living in the UK, Erin Hunter, is returning to the stage this September, as the UK art and culture scene gets innovative after a difficult year.

We spoke to Erin in August 2019 about her show, Surfing The Holyland, a story about a year she spent in the Middle East. Now, the show is literally going to be performed on a beach as part of The Warren Festival in Brighton, a series of events that runs until the end of September next to Brighton Pier. Erin's show, Surfing The Holyland, is being performed on Thursday September 24, from 7:45pm.

Announcing her involvement in the Festival, Erin tweeted "Very excited to be performing #SurfingtheHolyland #live on #brightonbeach next month! Thank you to the geniuses @warrenfestival for creating a socially-distant-#pandemic-friendly-outdoor #performance space!"

Thousands of Americans work in the UK art and culture sector, an industry which has been particularly affected by the pandemic and lockdown. It's great to see Americans back on stage on this side of the pond - if you're an American performer in the UK with a show or story to tell, let us know! Reach out to us via news@theamerican.co.uk
