Two former Members of Congress spoke earlier this week about US politics and life in Congress during an event hosted by the Eccles Centre at the British Library.
Elizabeth Esty, Democratic Representative from Connecticut's 5th congressional district between 2013 and 2019, and Jeff Miller, Republican Representative from Florida's 1st congressional district between 2001 and 2017, spoke to students from London's Metropolitan University about how they entered US politics, what working in Congress is really like, and answered questions from the audience.
The event was part of the Eccles Centre's #CongressToCampus programme, a series of events across the UK aimed at offering insight and education to students and the general public about contemporary US politics.
You can re-watch the stream of the event online now, and do check out the Eccles Centre website for more information on the fascinating projects and events they host relating to the USA.
