How To Watch Super Bowl LIV in the UK

On TV, Online, By Radio, and with all the trimmings!

Published on January 30, 2020

The Super Bowl is here, and once again it's set to take the UK by storm! On Sunday February 2, 2020, at 11:30pm GMT, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will take to the field for what promises to be an exciting Super Bowl LIV. With the big advances in NFL on this side of the pond, there are plenty of ways to catch up with this year's Super Bowl action, and here's how:

On TV

BBC One - Live from 11:25pm with Mark Chapman, Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell

Sky Sports: Sky Sports Action, Sky Sports Mix, and Sky Sports Main Event - Live from 11:25pm

Online and Streaming

BBC iPlayer and various Sky Sports online services will be streaming the game. If you'd like to watch the Sky Sports broadcast but aren't interested in subscribing long term to the channels, Now TV offers a day pass for Sky Sports at £9.99.

NFL's Gamepass is offering the game at a special price of £4.99

On Radio

UK Radio station TalkSPORT will be covering the game via their website and radio station TalkSPORT 2 with build up from 7pm. Hosts for the show are Nat Coombs and Will Gavin, with commentary from Oliver Wilson and Super Bowl winners Shane Vereen and Marlon Favorite.

At pubs/restaurants and venues, with all the trimmings!

Lots of pubs and venues host special Super Bowl screenings with all-American food and beer on the menu. For one chef from Kansas, this year's game marks a special experience. Michael Gratz, founder of Prairie Fire BBQ which recently opened a bricks and mortar store in White City, London, explained that "The Chiefs in the Super Bowl hasn't happened in my lifetime. Honestly I'm most excited for Kansas City as a whole, the 50 year Super Bowl drought has finally ended. There have been promising teams in the past and now finally we're in. I'm hoping the end result will match the magic of 2015 Royals winning the World Series. It's the Chiefs' turn to bring a trophy home! On a side note, Eric Rosenberg, my business partner, is from San Francisco of all places so the Chiefs must win for workplace bragging rights alone!" Michael and Eric are hosting a special Super Bowl Party on February 2nd, check out details at https://www.designmynight.com/london/whats-on/sport/prairie-fire-super-bowl-watch-party
