A Special Election has been confirmed for the State of Maryland, which is due to take place on Tuesday February 4th, 2020. The election will fill a vacancy for the 7th Congressional district, an area including parts of Baltimore and Howard Counties, and Baltimore City.
According to the FVAP, the Federal Voting Assistance Programme, if you are a resident of Maryland's 7th Congressional district, the follow deadlines apply:
- If you are not currently registered, your FPCA needs to be postmarked by January 14th
- If you are currently registered, your FPCA ballot request must be received by January 28th.
For those who have requested ballots, these will begin to be sent out December 21. If you have yet to receive a requested State Ballot 30 days before the election, you can fill out a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot.
