American SMEs in UK sought for Listening Sessions
The US International Trade Commission is hosting sessions in the UK to hear the views of US businesses in Britain

Published on April 2, 2019

Four Listening Sessions have been arranged in the UK during April to allow US based SMEs who have operations in the UK to discuss trade-related barriers that they face when exporting to the United Kingdom.

The Sessions have been organized by the US International Trade Commission (USITC) in a bid to collect "information from US-based SMEs in the United Kingdom on trade-related barriers that they believe disproportionately affect their exports to or services in the United Kingdom, as compared to larger US firms. This particularly interests the Commission, considering the uncertainty caused by the approaching withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union."

The information collected from the sessions will be included in the USITC's upcoming report to the US Trade Representative reviewing the trade-related barriers that American SMEs with UK operations face.
