URGENT - Extras Sought for Greengrass Iraq Movie
March 13, 2008

United 93 image for theamerican.co.uk news item 2020 Casting are urgently looking for American background artists for the new film ‘The Green Zone’, based on a book called ‘Imperial Life in the Emerald City’ by Rajiv Chandrasekaran's. It’s directed by Paul Greengrass (director of Bourne Ultimatum and United 93, the thought-provoking 9/11 movie, pictured left) and stars Matt Damon. The film is set Iraq at the end of the Second Gulf War and follows a unit called Met Team D who are given orders to find Saddam Hussain’s Weapons of Mass Destruction.

They are looking for American Men aged between 20 - 55 to play American Non-Military Civilians in scenes set in the Baghdad Airport and the Green zone canteen. These roles will be non-speaking background parts. The film is shooting at various locations around London from March 25th.

If you're interested please email military@2020casting.com along with a clear picture (no hats or sunglasses on a plain background. This gives you a better chance of being picked by the director) or call Bob on +44 (0)20 8746 2020

There will be a costume fitting for non-military people in London on Tuesday March 18th for no more than 2 hours in London. The scenes are scheduled for March 28th and 2 days between April 6th - 9th. (Exact dates TBC)

Pay will be between £80 - £100 per day filming and £40+ for the fitting.

Filming will be at various locations in London. We will check your availability for the filming when we have specific dates early next week.

PLEASE TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS!

2020 Casting say "Please pass this news on - they require a lot of people in these scenes so if you have spouses, sons, (over 18), cousins, uncles friends, colleagues who are American please get them to get in touch ASAP. The earlier you get in touch the more chance we have of using you."
