| Hard to believe, but next week sees the start of September, and the deadlines for registering your vote for the 2020 US Elections are edging closing. Earlier today (2pm, August 27), the FVAP and US Embassy in London hosted a useful Q&A session on Facebook about registering and submitting your ballot – you can still watch the recording on catch up by checking out the link in the news item below.
This week, we also have fabulous interviews with two notable overseas Americans. We speak to Loyd Grossman (Bostonian, currently in Warwickshire) about the UK heritage scene and Rome, and Harry Shearer (long-term London resident, locked down in LA) who’s releasing new songs for a satirical album - The Many Moods of Donald Trump! Plus there's a great feature on the west coast of Ireland - the people and the places - that will make you itch to go there just as soon as we can all travel again.
Many students are going back to class next week, so now more than ever it’s important to stay safe, keep well, and enjoy your newsletter. |
