| It’s been another busy week, with more developments on the UK’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. The UK has now deployed a three tier system, with various restrictions based on how severe the spread of Covid-19 has been on a regional basis. If you’re in the North of England, you’re likely to be in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 lockdown, if you’re in London, Essex or Kent, you’re about to enter a Tier 2 lockdown. Keep up to date with your local news, and if you can also find some useful information about local cases of coronavirus by using the Government’s data website for the virus; https://coronavirus-staging.data.gov.uk/
In news, there’s plenty to keep up with, on the Presidential Election, on US-UK flights, updated recommended mailing deadlines if you’re sending gifts across the pond this year, and the chance to bid for country stars' memorabilia. There’s also an important survey being undertaken on the CARES Act and its effect on overseas Americans – if you can, do take part in the survey, as your feedback could help solve many of the problems Americans abroad have been facing, particularly if a second stimulus package is approved.
In features, we’ve got a fascinating look back at how Britain may be partly responsible for today’s two party system in America, and Michael Sandwick returns with a Tea-riffic food and drink article.
Stay safe, look after yourself and loved ones, and enjoy your newsletter. |
