| The coronavirus pandemic is an ever-changing story, from the increasing number of variants that are springing up (sounds cuddlier than mutations, don’tya think?), through the vaccines that are helping deliver us. Then there are the restrictions that affect us all, overseas Americans more than most. We’re used to traveling back and forth across the Atlantic freely. Not any more. The rules about international travel are fluid, changing by the day, and they vary depending on which nation in the UK - and which state in the US - you’re going to and from. We have brought together all the relevant regulations. It’s worth a read, and there are links to the official advice so you can keep on top of future changes too.
Amazingly, Covid isn’t the only thing in the news, and we have stories about Meghan and Harry expecting their (probably) American second child, the USAF’s new UK-based, F-35A Squadron, memories of restaurateur Joe Allen, Churchill’s only wartime painting that he gifted to FDR (it’s for sale!) and more.
This week’s features include and NFL Draft preview and the latest on the women’s soccer SheBelieves Cup, a dream trip abroad to Croatia (we can still dream!), good health advice from an American dentist in London, and a Blue Plaque honoring former slaves Ellen and William Craft who escaped to London.
Stay safe, keep well, and enjoy your newsletter. |
