Hi, and welcome to the newsletter,
If there’s one thing you read in it this week, make it the first news item. We’re hosting a webinar with our friends at Bright!Tax and American Citizens Abroad, in which their tax and legal experts aim to answer your tax inquiries and tell you what ACA is doing on your behalf in D.C. They’ll be happy to answer your questions too, and there’s a link in the story to let you send them in.
We’d like to send our congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their 10th wedding anniversary. With all the fussing over Meghan and Harry, Kate and Wills may have been sidelined, but it’s worth remembering that it’s William who will be king one day. Royal watcher Penny Junor told the PA news agency that Kate "has been absolutely extraordinary and a model of what a future queen should be. She has got such poise and elegance and she's not in competition with William … she's very good with people but she's not on an ego trip and I think that is absolutely crucial in that role." Read between the lines!
Our features this week are on the MLB and the Americans who tried to set their English soccer clubs in a new Super League - and failed. With summer approaching and coronavirus lockdowns lifting, we’re looking forward to a vintage season of US sports. We’ll be covering it all for you.
