Social & networking drinks before & after main event
Presentation on Voter Registration with Federal Voting Assistance Program: We're very excited that David Beirne, Director, Assistance of the US Government's Federal Voting Assistance Program, is flying in from Washington DC to speak on the importance of voting. David & a colleague will actually assist the audience to register on the evening if they haven't already, then personally take back the forms to DC and get them into the system. Even if they've already organized their postal vote there will still be a lot to entertain and inform the guests...
What the latest polls are saying: a presentation by Ipsos MORI's Sir Robert Worcester
American expat comedian Rich Hall will cast his acerbic eye over the campaign, & Erich McElroy brings his Electile Dysfunction show straight from the Edinburgh Fringe
Panel Discussion and Q&A, moderated by Bloomberg's Stryker McGuire, focusing on what the election will mean for expats. We have a carefully balanced roster of panel members Larry Sanders (brother of Sen. Bernie Sanders, Green Party spokesman), Bill Barnard (former Chair of Democrats Abroad), Jan Halper-Hayes (Worldwide Vice-Chair of Republicans Overseas), broadcaster Charlie Wolf and Anthony Ugorji (Co-Chair, American Citizens Abroad)
Voter Registration Session with the Federal Voting Assistance Program's Director of Assistance
Live Music: Bob Harris's Under The Apple Tree Stage: After the Q&A the evening will end with music curated by 'Whispering' Bob Harris (the BBC's Country & Roots guru, multiple Country Music Award Award winner, Old Grey Whistle Test host) featuring American acts that Bob knows and has chosen for us.
Enjoy drinks & American food.
