Today is the 79th anniversary of D-Day, the greatest amphibious invasion of all time and the beginning of the free world's defeat of Hitler's Nazi regime.

We remember it by looking back at a few articles we've done over the years about this momentous occasion. Most of them were originally published in The American magazine and are being shown here for the first time online, these are in PDF format.

Lest we forget.
