★ Thanks for your time Benjamin! Where in the States (or the world) are you from?
Seattle, Washington.
★ How did you first become interested in motor racing?
I started karting at the age of 5 and have always loved racing from then on! To be racing now in the BRDC British F3 Championship is amazing and I look forward to the first race!
★ How did you become part of the British Formula 3 Championship, and how is it feeling to be part of the series for 2019?
For the 2019 season, I knew I had to race in Europe within F3 to reach my ultimate goal and British F3 was a great option for me. The series has a great reputation and the motorsports culture is amazing!
★ Will you be living in the UK during the season, and if so, are you looking forward to life in Britain?
I will be traveling back and forth from the States throughout the season, but while in the UK, it's awesome to see the culture within Britain.
★ The UK has some legendary courses, and the British Formula 3 season also features the iconic Spa in Belgium. Are you looking forward to any track in particular?
Yes for sure! I would say Silverstone and Spa are among the top as they are F1 grade tracks which makes it very special. To be honest all the tracks have been great!
★ What are your hopes and goals for the 2019 season?
My goal is to be competing for wins and the overall championship!
★ How do you think experiences of driving in Europe will compare with driving in the States?
I would say the overall racing style is much more aggressive in the UK compared to the States but we will see as we get going in the season!
★ Whilst you've here in the UK, is there anything you miss / don't miss about the States?
It's very hard to say ... I will be traveling back and forth so I get the best of both worlds!
★ What is your ultimate career goal?
To be racing in Formula 1 or Indy Car.
★ Finally, what's the best thing about being an American racing driver?
I’m very proud to be racing with the American flag in the UK as it’s a pretty rare thing Internationally!
