Red Rooster Shoreditch – Marcus Samuelsson's restaurant at The Curtain – is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day with an All-American Block Party, on Wednesday 4th July. There will be live music, in true Rooster style, with two performances of NOLA style brass beats, a wing-eating competition and free rounds of Jack Daniels for those that can prove their American-citizenship (flash a US passport, recite the Star-Spangled Bann...). The restaurant is also staying open until 1am with a shortened late-night menu.

Sulgrave Manor is celebrating its unique connection and heritage with the USA by hosting a day of fun family-friendly activities in the manor house and garden!
Join us for a relaxed day of make and take crafts, an Independence Trail, American-style food and free garden games. Plus tour the Manor and relax in the garden. The hands-on make-and-take activities include creating firework paintings, making liberty hats and clothes peg pinwheels and using a quill and ink to practice writing a signature just as John Hancock did when signing the Declaration of Independence. The Independence Trail will get families to seek out hidden American Independence figures in the garden. Normal admission prices apply and there is a £1 additional charge per child to participate in the activities listed.
