ACA On Congressman LaHood's Historic RBT Bill

American Citizens Abroad (ACA) has published an updated version of the side-by-side tax comparative demonstrating where Congressman LaHood's (R-IL) new legislation, H.R. 10468 Residence-Based Taxation for Americans Abroad Act changes current tax policy to create Residence-Based Taxation (RBT). ACA will be using this technical analysis in its meetings on Capitol Hill to support the push for RBT legislation and to push for the House Ways & Means Committee to hold hearings to review Congressman LaHood's legislation. ACA expects H.R. 10468 will be introduced shortly into the new 119th Congress (2025). Producing these documents is part of ACA's 100 Day campaign aimed at enacting President Trump's pledge to end the onerous double taxation of U.S. citizens living and working overseas, said Marylouise Serrato, ACA Executive Director.
