Young people and experts from both the US and the UK will come together to discuss Biden’s presidency so far, what the future of the UK-US 'Special Relationship' looks like, and how the two countries can work together to tackle some of the biggest issues of our day.
The evening is organized by the US Embassy and the non-partisan Patchwork Foundation, a charity which aims to promote and encourage the positive integration of under-represented, disadvantaged and minority communities into British democracy and civil society.
An impressive roster of speakers includes Aaron Snipe, Spokesperson for the US Embassy London; Paul Rennie OBE, Head of Global Economy Group, British Embassy Washington; Dennis Marcus, Executive Director, Robert F Kennedy Human Rights UK; Prof. Jerry Mayer, Associate Professor, George Mason University; Dr Joseph E Marshall, Alive & Free; Josh Babarinde OBE, Cracked It; Rebecca Gorena, Alliance for Youth Action; Robin Bronen, Executive Director of Alaska Institute for Justice; Giles Wilkes, Specialist Partner, Flint Global; Sereena Abbassi, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Consultant; Marty Rouse, Equal Voices Advisory Council of Democratic Institute; and more are expected to be added.
After keynote addresses, a plenary discussion and a Q&A session, you can choose between three breakout sessions on Making a Difference Through Politics, Effective Allyship, and The Climate Emergency. Each will be led by young people and senior experts in the UK and the US.
