NFL to ITV

Former players and fan favorites Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell both transfer to the new show, which will be hosted by Laura Woods, last year's SJA Sports Presenter of the Year.

The ITV coverage will include an hour-long weekly highlights show and three live matches. As well as the season's climax, the Super Bowl, ITV will show two of the three International Series games to be held in London: the New York Giants will face the Green Bay Packers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Sunday 9 October 9 (kickoff 2:30pm UK time) and the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Denver Broncos on Sunday 30 October at Wembley Stadium, (kickoff 1:30pm UK time).

The weekly show will air at 11:30pm on Fridays and be repeated at 8:30am on Saturdays on ITV4. All ITV's NFL programming will also be broadcast on STV in Scotland and Virgin Media in Ireland, and available on demand on ITV Hub, ITV Hub+, STV Player and VM Player.

Osi Umenyiora said: "We have seen the NFL grow to a level I could never have imagined from when I played here for the Giants in 2007. This new partnership can see us bringing the sport to an even broader audience. We have felt so embraced by British fans and we are excited that they will be able to watch us on ITV."

Jason Bell added: "I can't believe the growth of the NFL, not only in the UK but globally, and I'm so grateful to be at the forefront of that. I can't wait to expand the NFL audience with the new team at ITV. Osi and I are excited to be working with Laura and I know that our passion and energy will be exactly what existing NFL followers expect from us, as well as opening the eyes of new fans."

The new show launches September 9.
