THE TRANSATLANTIC MAGAZINE
The Pomona College Glee Club, the elite chamber choir from Claremont Colleges and Claremont Graduate University, CA, is touring the UK in May, singing a mixed program of works by American and British composers.
The choir and their director, Donna M. Di Grazia, are delighted to invite their fellow countrymen and women into the audience, free of charge, and to talk to them after the concert.
The late Robert Shaw '38, the most influential American choral conductor of the 20th century, is the Club's most distinguished alumnus. Each spring semester the most gifted singers from all the Claremont Colleges and Claremont Graduate University come together to explore a challenging classical repertoire spanning the 16th century to the present, focusing on works for unaccompanied voices. The Glee Club has represented Pomona College both internationally and at home for over 100 years.
