Overseas Americans can vote in US elections. And their vote can sway the results of District, State and Presidential primaries and elections. Yet fewer than 8% of the 2.8 million overseas citizens who were eligible to vote in the last general election did so. Don't let your vote go to waste!
The first is a Special Primary election on Tuesday, July 15, to fill a vacancy for the 7th Congressional District, which includes all of Santa Cruz and Yuma and parts of Cochise, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal counties.
The second is a Special General election for the same district, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025
Service members, eligible family members, and civilian overseas citizens can register to vote, and/or request and absentee ballot. You can use the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to register to vote, request a ballot, and update any contact information by using the completion tool available at the FVAP website. If a requested ballot has not arrived, use the Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot (FWAB) which works like a backup ballot. You may also check the status of your voted ballot there.
