MLB At Hackney Bridge Takeover

A takeover packed with immersive baseball experiences, live game watchalongs, and zones dedicated to some of the biggest teams.

Off the back of an enthralling All-Star Game, Major League Baseball is returning to London over the first weekend of August.

It may not be the excitement of full games played inside the iconic London Stadium, but in its shadows, a full three days of MLB activities will be played out in what is being billed as The Hackney Bridge Takeover.

We can all dream of being the next All-Star game MVP Kyle Schwarber and hit home runs for fun, but maybe try your hand in the batting cages, or relive some past dramas by watching some historical games, maybe just sit and watch with a hot dog and cool beverage. The choice is yours.

As we hit August and the second half of a season that is proving to be another tense run to the end, this lovely corner of East London will be transformed into a baseball enthusiast's dream. Live music will be played, and live games will be broadcast late into the night. As well as this, four of the biggest teams in the league will have dedicated areas, so if you’re a fan of the Dodgers, Yankees, Giants, or Red Sox, you will feel particularly at home, but all are, of course, welcome.

This free-to-attend event starts at midday on Friday, August 1, and runs to 11pm the following Sunday. Three days to get your MLB fix!
