"Rewards for Forces", a UK based organization offering discounts to those serving in the military, has confirmed that US forces visiting or serving in the UK are eligible to join their platform.
Peter Raith of "Rewards for Forces" explained that "We operate the national rewards scheme for the families of the British Armed Forces and Veterans in the UK. We also extend the free membership and discounts to all the visiting US Veterans and their families." Peter told The American that he wanted to spread the word to US Veterans to "save them money and to show our appreciation."
According to the poster launched by the organization, "all past and present American Armed Forces" are able to "receive the same discounts and benefits as the British Armed Forces."
The website provides access to discounts for a wide variety of services that could be useful to Americans in the UK, including for UK holidays and travel, activities, healthcare, food and drink, technology and even Krispy Kreme donuts! Outlining the range of offers available, Peter said that "There are hundreds of offers on the website, discounts in Hotels, Restaurants, Theme Parks, High Street Shops, Designer Shopping Outlets and Events in the UK and Europe. We believe when you serve side-by-side you should receive the same benefits as a thank you for your service."
